Fire update
Went for a run this morning. On my cool-down lap around my complex, I ran into Jackie and Windy as they were heading off to work. With some of the mandatory evacuations upgraded to "pre-evac" status, her dad, grandparents, and uncle and aunt were all able to return to their undamaged homes. Her dad has to access his property through the grandparents', though, because Shoup Road remains closed.
The fire got awfully close to her dad's property. He lives on the south side of Shoup Road; many houses on the north side just across the street from him were sadly destroyed by the fire.
