I just spent the past hour or so unpacking my small handbag. How can that be, you ask? Unfortunately, that's classified, but I spent the time thinking about how it's our patriotic duty as Americans to spend our time imagining worst-case scenarios.

Imagine, if you will, that as loyal Americans, our bags contain an assortment of delicious local food products which we are bringing on our trip. Since we were unexpectedly able to carry these items on, we carefully wrapped each of them up in clothing, and put them into our checked luggage. Then imagine that a dutiful TSA officer, ever-mindful of the possibility that these delicacies might be deadly explosives, unwrapped all of them, carefully inspected the labels, and then returned them unopened to our luggage. What if, as citizens mindful of our civic duties, we then undertook to unpack our luggage, only to find most of our clothing covered in a dense mixture of organic apricot preserves and razor-sharp shards of glass?

Take heed, my friends, because if this were to happen, the terrorists would have already won.
