I saw her speak tonight at Evergreen. I'll admit that I had barely heard of her before, just a couple of times on Democracy Now, but my older sister (who is in love with her) clued me in and bought me a ticket. And let me say, she is an amazing speaker, not to mention the things she talks about. People were stomping their feet and clapping their hands and I even cried once. I'll ease off before I get too cheesy, but let it be known that I spent all my homo money (from the interview) and bought her book and got it signed.
My darlings, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful thing.
