So even though I barly know who he is, I only knew him from 'Tennatious D' but Dio died today. That makes me sad since he was such an influsence from alot of metal bands out there. So I hope he's rocking it up in which ever heaven like hell he's gone to.
In other news, I'm back down in Barrie. It seemed like I was just here yesterday. I drove down today, picked up Alexei, and we picked up Luke and Nickie's wedding gift. We got them a kitchen Steemer, so that when ever they steem their food, they'll think of us. I also got my dad's Birthday Present today. Well, half. Since its his 50th my brother and I were going to take him skydiving. But then I looked at the prices and will give him a 50% off one skydive jump instead. This way, he can go when he wants to when all this buisness shinanigans blows over.
And tomorrow I've got one appartment appointment for 5:30, and two more the next day at 12 and 12:30. I had one for 1:30, but they canciled. So I think I'm going to call a few more places to set up a few more appointments since I don't think three over the two days is enough. So I'll call them up as be all 'why haven't you gotten back to me?!?"
That's another thing thats really starting to get on my nerves. I'm e-mailing and calling all these people and maybe 1 out of 5 get back to me. Even if it's just to say 'we've filled the appartment' the least they could do is let me know. It's almost rude. I can understand a day or two not getting back, you're busy people. But really? do you have to competely egnore me? It's like me going up to you at a party, me saying hello, how are you, and you just competely and utterly egnoring me. What gives? And I know this e-mail thing is still new, but could a bit of formality be adopted? Alot of e-mailed I've been getting have been just one line. That's it. Its like passing notes! I put a subject, an opining to whom I'm adressing, why I'm contacting them and my business. When I respond I adress their concerns and add my comments. I don't just put 'sounds good to me' or 'apartment still there, come by at this time'. I mean sure, its nice and to the point, I've got nothing against that, but it takes no effort to add 'Dear Michael' or even 'hi Michael' and add your name at the bottom. It's a letter. Not a note.
And thats all I've got on my mind. You know, besides 'OHMYGODOHMYGODOHMYGOD' but hopefuly that will subside after this week when I find a place in London.
