Some things I saw on a quick trip to the post office this afternoon.
A pair of black bellied Whistling Ducks . . .
More ducks in the pond . . .
Going down 9th towards Robinsons, this tree has been like this for almost a year now, looking like it's threatening to fall any minute. I stopped in the middle of the road to take the picture through the windshield and my lens was too long and I was too close -- the tree went on for about another 10 feet!
On Loop Road, a group of wood storks, I call them "the gentlemen" . . .
I drove a little ways more on Loop Road and this White Egret was coming out of a ditch full of water with a fish in tow.
Down at the pond now for the beautiful water lilies and some strange, odd little flying saucer shape or a planet with a ring around it, over to the right in the water . . . ???
Another lily, apart from the rest, surrounded by some water plants . . .
A lot of people have a favorite tree and this is mine (for now) Every time I pass it at the pond, I have to take a picture. Usually there is at least one bird on a limb, but not today.
Just went out and got the mail and big thunder and lightning all around me. I made it back to the garage just in time and now it’s pouring. My hopes of getting a super blue moon shot tonight are slim to none now.
