While taking the garbage out to the curb, I took a picture of the powerful white clouds to the west of us. It started sprinkling and as I was heading back up the driveway I noticed a double rainbow in the east. I took one picture and hurried inside.
Shortly after I went in, my spotter called me saying, “You should see the sky now!” So out I went again. In the short time I was gone, the white clouds changed shape and color and there was a lot of pink everywhere.
Way over to my left, almost hidden from my view, I saw an osprey, actually just the silhouette, on the top of a favorite snag across the street where different birds love to perch. I took one picture and knew I had to get a longer lens.
Back outside, I was shooting and looking through the viewfinder when suddenly another osprey flew in! I love when that happens so you don’t have to find and focus again. I’m thinking they are mates. I hope they come back in the daylight when I could get more color and detail, but for now, I’m a happy girl! Here’s a few . . .
