A little outing in the rain . . .
Late this afternoon I went for a little ride around the loop. The sky was getting dark and I knew it would probably rain soon, but I didn’t think we’d get the down pour that we did.
First I went to Robinson. It hadn’t started to rain yet, but by the look of the sky, I knew it was coming soon! By the time I had driven once around the parking lot and was heading towards Loop Road, the rain started coming down in buckets!
No one was on the road so I stopped a couple of times to get some pictures through the windshield. I like the rain drops and little squiggles of water running down when you turn off the wipers.
These next two are my favorites . . .
When I got to the park, I could see something white across the pond and as I got closer I saw it was a Great Egret just standing in the rain near some greenery and flowers. I put down my window for a few seconds and got one shot before I started getting soaked myself.
