I'm trying to find a way to share pictures that is not so tedious as the photobucket way (that is, where I slowly upload all the pics to photobucket, then laboriously copypasta all the links here and write about them -- it looks fine that way, but it takes *forever* which is why I've been loath to share the pics from my UK trip and the others I've taken the last nine months).
So. Since I have a yahoo account already, I signed up for flickr, and have a slideshow of my new bookshelves. Let me know what you think of this way -- I'm not sure I like the presentation as much as the photobucket way (you have to click "show info" to see my comments on the stuff, so please do that!), but it certainly seems easier. Of course, I only had like, 9 photos this time as opposed to the hundreds I dealt with during my Japan semester ...
Slideshow HERE! Anyway, enjoy!
In other news, I've been re-watching His and Her Circumstances. It's the anime made of my favorite high school genre shoujo manga (Kare Kano -- as opposed to Please Save My Earth, which I consider my favorite shoujo manga and my favorite manga period), and I forgot how much I love the first 3/4 of the show -- in the last part, the production staff seemed to have thrown up their hands and given up, as there are a bunch of recaps, a filler episode right before the end, ridiculous animation techniques (well, that's the rest of the show too -- can we even call this animation when we're just staring at stills basically pulled right from the manga?), and well, the story stops in a pretty bad spot with no real attempt made for closure. But like I said, before that, the series is a pretty good adaptation of the first few volumes of the excellent manga, with a little bit more "crazy" thrown in, perhaps, thanks to the wacky animation decisions (let's make them look like crayon drawings done by an 8 year old!). Yup. I also forgot that Akira Ishida voices Kazuma! No wonder I love that kid (not to mention that he's a sweetheart in a rock back. And I love pretty much all the characters ...).
