(no subject)
First and foremost, thank you everyone for your birthday wishes. :) Even though I've been sick as a dog since about last Tuesday, I spent the weekend with Joella and Theresa at Jo and Kevin's house. Theresa and I went to see the Young Dubs 3 different times over the weekend... the three of them (Joella, Kevin, and Theresa) took me out to dinner on Saturday night, and then we dropped Kevin off at home and we 3 girls went to an Irish pub in Joliet (or thereabouts...) for dessert and a local band's show. The group was pretty good... they had a guy playing the hammered dulcimer which I was just fascinated by. And one of the singers is a Great Big Sea fan, so there was much sing-alonging. :)
The weirdest part of the weekend was discovering when we showed up for their second set that one of the Young Dubs had been arrested. (He was there for the first one...) Considering they took him to the Joliet jail, there were many Blues Brothers references being made throughout the weekend. ;) I hope they've gotten him back now...
And in random fandom news: I think I'm in love with Kevin Donnelly. No, he's not the smartest cookie in the jar, but he's loyal and he's stubborn and he'd be a good kid if Jimmy would leave him alone. :p :)
I now have icons for Heroes, The Dresden Files, and The Black Donnellys... I need one for 24 and I think I'll be set... for now :)
