We have a winter weather advisory for tonight and tomorrow morning. Sleet, freezing rain, ice accumulation, yay? Looks like I may not be going to the gym tomorrow morning after all.
I promised myself I was going to read more books this year, so of course I am now bogged down in a long, detailed book I am enjoying and want to finish, but which is taking forever to read: Hitler's U-Boat War: The Hunters, 1939-1942 by Clay Blair. I think I'll wait a while before buying the second volume (The Hunted, 1942-1945). The same thing happened when I read his Silent Victory: The U.S. Submarine War Against Japan. They just are not the kind of books I can blast right through in a day or two. I'm not even reading it for my current research (my NaNo novel was set during the Battle of the Atlantic; this one is not), but just because I want to.
Meanwhile, my already full to-be-read bookcase has begun groaning at the seams. I've been better about buying random books for pleasure reading but have more than made up for it with the books I have been buying for research. If only I could finish this book and get to them. *headdesk*
I still have not seen last week's Lost. There was a torrential downpour last Wednesday that interfered with our satellite signal both at 9:00 and at midnight when the West Coast feed came on, so I bought it from iTunes. Tomorrow is Wednesday again. Guess I'd better watch it.
