I finally watched it. Hmm. It started slowly and I was afraid I would be terribly disappointed, but it got better.
Random thoughts on first viewing:
• Who is that woman, and what has she done with Sikozu? It didn't feel like the same character at all. I was hoping to see the Sputnik hairdo, too. Meh.
• Is it just me, or did they have another actress playing Noranti during a couple of scenes?
• I was spoiled for D'Argo's death a long time ago, but it still made me sniffly. I'm not sure I would have been all that surprised even if I hadn't been spoiled. D'Argo always seemed like the kind of guy who would go out in a blaze of glory.
• The Eidelon thing? Lame as shit.
• I usually hate baby storylines, but since it has obviously been meant to happen from the very beginning of Farscape, I minded it less than usual.
• Aeryn in labor? Cracked my shit up.
• This really suffered from having a whole season crammed into three hours, but since the alternative was leaving Aeryn and John in little pieces on the bottom of the ocean, it'll do.
• My husband commented that everyone seemed to be really into peace all of a sudden (before Crichton scared them straight with the wormhole weapon, when it became understandable), when most of them had never seemed particularly peaceful before. I blame that on the unfortunate lack of a whole season to build up to it.
• Finally an answer to why humans and Sebaceans are so similar.
• I don't see things staying peaceful for long.
