Things that are making me happy today
1) The Smooter Report, for all your George-Clooney's-latest-girlfriend-countdown, emo-John-Connor-mocking, and other entertainment needs.
2) Sock monkey sheets! Also in flannel. And Dick and Jane sheets, too! (Unfortunately, none of them are quite what I'm going for in my own bedroom. Our new bed will be here at the end of next week and I'm looking for a second set of king-size sheets for it. I already bought thyme green ones from The Company Store. Maybe red?)
3) The new vintage_recipes community. I've been waiting for something like this, because I'm far too lazy to run a community myself. If you like old cookbooks, lurid food photography, and recipes from hell, come join us!
4) The preliminary round of The Consumerist's 2008 Worst Company in America contest. (The companies receiving the most votes will get seeded in a tournament-style bracket.)
5) This navy pleated shirtwaist dress. So cute! So inexpensive! I had to order it online because there are no Targets in Vermont. Shocking, but true.
