Honestly, I've been rooting for the bad guys at least since we first met Irina, and quite possibly even since we met Sark. They're so much cooler. Even Sloane kicks ass, in his way.

I know I should start watching S3, but you have all frightened me with your tales of suck and Sark ruined for you and wussy Sydney's Vaughn fixation.

Having been spoiled for random things, but (presumably) not everything, I am assuming that what ruined Sark for some of you is the sort of out-of-the-blue "Who are you, and what have you done with Mr. Sark?" characterization we saw in the S2 finale with Allison. I mean, I could buy that he might really have cared about Allison, but I don't believe he would ever have shown jealousy even if he felt it, much less seemed so unsure of himself. But THERE WAS KISSING, so I was willing to overlook that at the time.

That sort of thing - only with Lauren and much worse - is what I am anticipating with a certain degree of dread. I do know he goes all "I LOVE MY DEAD GAY SON!" over her after she's dead. Pfffft!

The problem isn't only that it sounds nothing like the Sark we knew and loved in the first two seasons, but also that from what I've read Lauren just isn't evilly cool enough to be worth it. Which is too bad, really, because as I said, I'm rooting for the bad guys. Lauren just sounds kind of lame, though.

On the bright side, I have little problem pretending that certain things (such as BSG'S "Black Market" - are you listening, Ron Moore?) NEVER HAPPENED. When canon disappoints, I am all about the denial AU. This is perhaps why I am dealing with Fat!Lee so well on BSG. I have a vivid imagination, and I am not afraid to use it to KEEP MYSELF SANE when my shows are going crazy around me.

ETA: Sweet Jeebus, WTF is with Lauren's eyebrows? Is their painted-brown awfulness just to show that she is eeeeeeeevil? Ladies, if you go from dark brown to bleached blonde, you might want to consider a bit of brow tinting, because otherwise? SCARY.
