Okay, I'll play... I'm looking at my online DVD rental site and it has 'BSG - The Mini Series' and then seasons 1 and 2. Does the mini series precede series one?

The mini is kind of slow-paced in comparison with the series, and can be sentimental at times. It's not BAD, but it's not terrific either. I watched the first episode of S1 first, was hopelessly confused by the existence of "previouslies" before the first ep, and loved the ep anyway. Got the mini and liked it but felt it was a little slow. However, I highly recommend seeing the mini first, because there are a couple of plot twists that are revealed towards the end of the mini, and are pretty big mindfucks. Of course, I was spoiled by seeing 1.01 first, and I always wondered how surprised I would've been if I'd watched the mini first. So, uh, do it and report back, please.

Dude. I was sekritly hoping that she'd knife the baby and be filled with everlasting trauma, but... I am weak and I love the Kara/Loeben. So much. *flails*

OMG, me too! Can you imagine the rending and gnashing of teeth in fandom if Kara had done that? It would have been a black hole of wank.
