Arriving at Worlds End didn't really take much effort. She'd been taking long weekends away from the Company for months now, and with how busy her father was with everything else she was barely noticed as missing at most times. She didn't live on site anymore either so it wasn't exactly a difficult task to get away unnoticed anymore. Once there she was a bit overwhelmed by it all and really excited to be in a social setting like this. The biggest party she'd been to was an awkward Company function when her dad introduced her to everyone the exact same way, 'This is Elle, she's quite useful.' Which now looking back upon it upset her a bit to realize the truth of it all.

Still this was new for her, it was exciting and it was a lot of people to meet. She'd gotten Toad a gift, and tried to make sure it was appropriate despite only knowing very few things about him. The fact that he wanted to look at her was the only hint she had, and her father always told her that a book was always a safe gift to give.

Tucking her hair behind her ear she held onto the gift with her other hand, realizing she hadn't bought an inappropriate card joking about his age to attach to it, and also suddenly realizing she knew absolutely no one there.

But that doesn't mean nobody there knows who she is. Because Mike is nothing if not nosy.

"Hello," he says, stepping out of the crowd in that way he does with his 'Don't Touch' T-Shirt and his jeans and his complete lack of shoes and walking half-an-inch off the floor. "Here for Toad's birthday party? Hi! I'm Mike!"

Putting on her best smile, since really she'd hate to be impolite when meeting new people she turns around to greet the person talking to her, which is not Toad. She's pretty sure she'll know Toad when she sees him, and she's also pretty sure that despite this one walking... floating (?!) up to her that it's also not Jono, and all the mystery is unveiled with a name, "Hi, I'm Elle, and I hope I'm here for Toad's party or else I've just happened upon a rather bizarre coincidence."

"It could happen," Mike said seriously. "I once went to a party where fifteen people turned up in the same dress. How they got in that dress, we'll never know."

He grinned.

"Drink? The bartender takes some getting used to, what with being a poetry-proclaiming android, but he knows pretty much anything you can think of."

Elle laughed at the joke, or at least she thought it was a joke, but who knew around this place, "I'm sure finding shoes to match was a hassle."

Glancing to the robot she thought about it, she hadn't really been a big drinker especially with all the medication she'd been on growing up, but if she was going to take those steps away from her father... she needed to start smallish-to-big. "Well I honestly can't think of anything, I'm not much of a drinker. I've heard of an Electric Lemonade and that always seemed ironic to me."

"There are fruit juices and things, if you want? You can always try the Electric Lemonade, although they pack a kick, I think. Vodka, Blue Curacao, light rum... something something. The robot'll know. Drinks are on the house," he added. "Well, me, actually, 'cause it's my birthday present to Toad, but same diff. So, as much of whatever as you want. ...why 'ironic'?"

Mike listed off the alcohol and it did seem to be quite the start for her drinking career, and really she didn't want to end up needing to be peeled off the floor, or off of Toad at some point, that'd be rather... probably bad would be the opportune word choice.

"Yeah, that might be a bit rough to start," she really was at a loss as to what to order at this point now. So she just asked for something tropical, and would probably end up with something with Malibu rum in it that she'd barely notice was going to make her drunk after three of them.

As the bot prepped the drink Elle smiled that entirely too close to evil smile of hers and poised her had up, "I spark, actually generate it." It was a slight display of energy crackling against her fingertips and then just as quick as it was there it was gone, "Probably more ironic that my names Elle."

"Neat!" He held his own hand up; crimson lighting crackled between his fingers then winked out. "I was born a pyrokine but I'm mostly a telekine these days 'cause -- well, that's a long, complicated, rather implausible story. Oh, and I can read your mind. But I won't. So 'Elle's not deliberate, then? No lighting up your crib as a baby?"

Watching Mike's hand spark up with red she grinned, she could get used to hanging out with people like her. It made her feel a bit less out of place, and sure The Company had skilled people with abilities, but this just felt different. They weren't hiding it for one, and it just felt different.

"You'd have to ask my parents... well my Dad I guess on that one, but I wouldn't recommend talking to him these days. He's sorta ticked at me. But I did set my grandmother's house on fire when I was six? Kinda the oops of the childhood?"

Mike laughed. "Come back to me when you've accidentally blown up an entire island and we'll talk about 'oops'. Why's your dad ticked at you?"

Elle laughed herself, "Well I'm not quite to that extreme... well not yet anyway. I did fry a guy because he wasn't being cooperative, which is part one as to why my dad is upset with me. There's that and I was supposed to be all stealthy and keep an eye on this girl but really how the hell can I hide when they decide to do a cliffside memorial for their father who's not really dead? She spotted me, the sling was in the way from getting shot earlier in the week, and she busted my car window, and then said she was taking her power public to expose the Company." Apparently alcohol made her chatty.

"Plus I went after Sylar on my own, which went horrible except for saving some people, but he got away with the cure to the virus we gave him... and now he's out there doing who knows what."

"You got shot? Yeesh. I hate getting shot."

Sylar?

"Mostly he's over there," Mike said, pointing at the man in question.

Elle followed the direction he was pointing and nodded, she wasn't sure if it was Gabriel or Sylar and she was pretty sure that either one of them would talk to her, but the tone and the content of said discussion would vary of course.

"Well... he knows Anya, and I think she's dating Toad. So that's the connection at least." Changing topics back to something else which apparently the only other option on the table was her getting shot she nodded, absentmindedly rubbing her arm where the scar still was, "Yeah it wasn't exactly a pleasant experience. The sling was a hassle for the recovery time too."

"But you're better now?"

Elle smiled and nodded, "Yep! No sling, no annoying bandage, just a bit of itch from the skin healing."

Sipping at her drink through the straw she smiled, "So this is a pretty big party. I probably should've known more people before trying something this big."

"You should just walk up to random people and say 'hello!'" Mike advised. "It works for me. But, let's see, who's here... Well, you know Sylar, and Toad, I presume. That's Jean-Paul Beaubier, he works for Senator Kelly -- of Kansas? The kid with the camera over there is Dennis Creevey. He's an intern in some British governmental thingy. The girl who looks like whatsherface from High School Musical is Wanda Maximoff. She warps reality, so try not to piss her off. I have no idea who the guy with the rat is, though. ...is this helping or just really confusing the issue?"
