Prompt #211 -- Old acquaintance
On New Year's Day, I met up with an old acquaintance of mine!
Well, THREE of them. Actually, FOUR, if you count that rather dimwitted Dave guy.
Have you guessed who yet? Yes, that's right......... ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS! And that dimwitted Dave guy.
So, it's New Year's afternoon, and me and my buddy Avalanche are waking up after sleeping our PAR-TEH! hangovers away, and we decide to go see a movie. And I'm bloody ECSTATIC that they're playing ALVIN AND THE CHIPMUNKS.
When I was younger, way back in 1980s, when I was still living at the orphanage, this was my favourite movie. You remember the one? The Chipmunks Adventure! The one when there is Alvin and Simon and Theodore (chubby little git!), are in a hot air balloon race against the Chipettes, Britney, Jeanette, and Elenore (chubby little cutie!) around the world! To find dolls! And the bad guys put DIAMONDS in the dolls! Hell, I'd hot air balloon race around the world to get dolls too!
And then they sing that song all over ancient monuments.

"WE ARE THE BOYS WE ARE THE BOYS WE ARE THE BOYS OF ROCK AND ROOOOooOOOOLLLL! !"
I found the video for that on YouTube!! NOSTALGIA AWESOME RIGHT THERE.
The caregivers at the orphanage liked to show it to us, because they thought it was a great story about how silly looking orphan kids really can get adopted. It is probably my favourite memory from that horrible place, watching that movie!
So, yes. It was awesome to get to meet up with some old acquaintances of mine, even if it was just on a screen at a movie theatre. And that the dimwitted Dave was there too, but whatever. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie!
