#167: Write about disappointment or disillusion.

My life has been full of disappointment and disillusionment. Really, I’m a mutant. A green mutant. With a very long tongue, and can jump around and climb walls better the Spiderman. Those aren’t things that make up happy, fluffy days to live by.
But there has been MAJOR disappointment recently. Just happened this week, actually. And it all has to do with Pyro.
It always has to do with Pyro. The Golden Boy. The Teacher’s Pet, if you will. The Favourite. All the things he doesn’t even realize, the ungrateful little git.
But it’s not like I’m useless. I can fly planes and helicopters. And I’m a master at reconnaissance.
That’s been my job for the past month or so. The reconnaissance part. I love it. It’s so great, sneaking around and breaking into places in the middle of the night, setting up surveillance, hacking into computers and stuff.
But it’s when that phase is over and we move on the part that gets really good, the part that made me want to join the Brotherhood in the first place. The terror, the destruction.
The purpose.
But what happened next? What always happens? The disappointment: the reassigning of the mission.
What has Pyro been doing over the last month while I’ve been doing this work? Leaving and taking personal time to play boyfriend to an X-Brat. And what happens when he gets back? PYRO gets to take over the mission. He gets to have the fun.
I understand that he has the more destructive powers then mine. But I can help set up bombs and stuff too. I can be more than just the plane-flyer getaway vehicle. But I won’t be, because Golden Boy has the Boss’s favour.
And that just sucks.
