Meet, Greet, and Eat
Took the afternoon off to go to the Tri-State Meet, Greet, and Eat geocaching event at the Grill Restaurant in Matamoras, PA. The event is in the evening but ordinarily, I wouldn't be able to make it there in time if I headed out after work. It was a buffet-style dinner although the dishes were fairly simple. We had fried chicken, carrots, coleslaw, baked potatoes, and dinner rolls.
After dinner, we (16 of us, assuming we didn't lose anyone before doing the head count midway through the hike... oops :) ) headed out to nearby Airport Park to do a brand-new night geocache. After parking at the north edge of the park, we followed a dirt path through the field to the starting point. Then we followed a trail of reflectors alongside the Delaware River to the cache location. I think that was almost a 1-mile round trip in the dark, but in a large group, it wasn't too difficult.
After that night cache, I did two more quick geocaches in Milford before heading home.
