A good weekend...

Friday night started off going to Sarasota to listen to my friends Carmela Pedicini and Tanya Radtke in their new band, playing at the Monterey Cafe. Good music and healthy food. Just before I left for Sarasota, I posted on Myspace that I was heading down there... I'm glad I did! My friend Mia and her boyfriend joined me down there which made the evening even more enjoyable.
I Left early Saturday morning for Ocklawaha to an SCA event called Cattleraids, as I'd been invited by an old friend who was helping put on the event. It was a fun, small event with many nice people, made a couple new friends, and once again was probably the last person still up that night after walking someone back to their camp.
Hopped in the car early Sunday morning and made it to Gainesville about 8:00 a.m. at Merald and Cyndi's house, and an hour or so later we all headed off to join others at Ichetuknee State Park for tubing down the river... what fun! We saved the twine they gave us for tying the innertubes to the vehicles, and we threaded it through some of the tube-handles, so made a large floating amoeba- much hilarity ensued, followed by a great barbeque at Rich and Michelle's cool old 1914 house with really nifty architectural details. Stayed overnight at M&C's, then meandered my way home Monday morning.
It was a great weekend, all crammed together. :-)
