So, here we are...in 2008 and it seems that one thing has happened after another. I know change happens when we least expect it. But, this is getting to me at different levels and for different reasons.
Within the first full week of the new year, I have had two fights with my mother over money, work, and a few other things. I love the woman dearly, and I know that she loves me too. Yet, there have been so many times over the last year and a half that I have come to doubt her own mental stability for the things she has said and done. I can say honestly that I feel better about the arguments we had -- because we were able to get things out that we BOTH had been holding back on saying for the betterment of the times we were in. We both seem to be trying more to be understanding of how we both feel and see everything. So, hopefully this is for the best for her and I.
My mom means the world to me...even when she pisses me off so much that I just can't handle it anymore. I know that is part of her role as my mother. But, I wish she would "wake up" and realize that her own habits are just as much to blame for our situation as are mine. I cannot continue to hold my tongue when she does little things that end up costing our household money and time that is direly important. Hopefully she has realized what I said to her and is working on that.
Then, there is my own health that I have to deal with. I am glad to know that I am NOT a diabetic. When my doctor called to inform me of this good news, she also informed me that she wanted more blood work because my thyroid levels were very low. So, Monday I had the blood work done. On Tuesday, my doctor's nurse called and asked what pharmacy I used. She informed that my thyroid levels were still very low and that my doctor wanted me to start on a new medicine to help up them. So, as of yesterday, I have one more pill to take each day to help bring my health up some.
So far, the only effect that
hirehorn and another friend of ours has noticed is that last night I had a surge of nervous energy. They both said that I was talking faster and
hirehorn also said that I was walking and moving faster. This morning, I am feeling a bit better physically than I have in a few days. So, hopefully this means that this is a good thing from taking this new pill.
But, this morning brought heart-breaking news before 7 am. My adopted brother, Billy, called and text me to inform me that his father went into a come overnight. So, now, while my brother is driving back from Florida to come home, I am waiting to hear any more news. My brother calls me roughly every hour to hour and a half to let me know where he is at and that he is doing alright. I have known "Doc" for the last 16-18 years of my life and know that he has live a long, productive life. But, this last year has taken so much out of him because of cancer. So, if it be his time...all I can ask is that the angels come quickly to bring him home and that his family be filled with happiness that he is not suffering here on Earth.
Well, I have clothes to fold and put up...Amtgard paperwork to update...and I'm sure other things that need to be taken care of. So, I'll end this here...at least for now.
