Classes start a week from tomorrow. (Which reminds me... I need to make a museum dork icon to go with my anthro dork one.) Today I purchased three used books for two of my three classes at the price of a pair of lovely 20-eye Doc Marten boots. This is appalling on so many levels.
Further appalling: my current burst of consumerism. I feel that I ought to have more vests, short-sleeve and sleeveless blouses to wear under said vests (climbing does wonders for one's arm muscles, and thus terrible things to one's ability to fit into clothes cut for scrawny people), and painfully unavailable button-up leg warmers. Alas, the budget does not include frivolities, so I will have to alter current clothes or pine. I've got a lot of practice in the pining department, and all I want to sew right now are corsets.
