Dear Diary,
I am busy with a project. I've been practicing something a little different with the First Years. Nothing illegal of course but I have been showing them pictures of the Dark Mark and known Death Eaters, making them read the newspaper. You could say I have been taking a leaf out of our former professor/imposter, Mad-Eye Moody and teach them vigilance. I decided it couldn't hurt if I taught them to disarming charm either, at least that will give them a good start. Some of the older students are spending more and more time in the Restricted Section (none more then Hermione). I myself have been staring into the cracked Foe Glass in the Room of Requirement, for even though it is cracked, it still works and the distorted images its shadows are beginning to become more and more clear. Harry has become pale rand more withdrawn. The other day I came into the Room of Requirement to get in some early practice and found him there. We had an interesting conversation:
Me: [Walks in] I didn't think anyone else was in here. I can leave if you want.
Harry: Nah, it's okay, you go ahead and do what you were gonna do.
Me: [Nods and takes out wand. Starts practicing Summoning and Banishing Charms]
Harry: Can I ask you a question?
Me: Sure. [Puts wand away.]
Harry: How do you deal with it?
Me: With what?
Harry: With being a Werewolf.
Me: I deal with it however I can. Sometimes it's hard.
Harry: It's hard for me to. I mean, I'm not a Lycan or anything but I do have my own problems to deal with.
Me: Everyone has their own demons Harry. How we deal with them is what makes us who we are....
We talked for a long time after that. He told me of the prophecy and how it was either "kill or be killed" basically. I told him that it sounded like he had his work cut out for him. I told him that yes Voldemort had the potential to kill him, but HE also had the potential to kill Voldemort.
We sat in silence until the other members of the D.A came in. The day's plan was tacked to the wall. It was going to be a long meeting. We stayed until curfew and then the students began filing out of the room. I was the very last one to leave and knew that I musts move swiftly so I didn't get into trouble. The walk back was full of thought and wonderment at the conversation that had taken place before the meeting had started and then I thought about Harry, who really had a lot riding on his shoulders. Well Diary, I am currently engaged in an argument with my bed and the bed is winning. Good night to you.
Sarah.

Dear Diary,
My Aunt Jennifer's birthday is today. I had to order her gift out of Gladrag Wizard Wears annual Valentines day catalog. It was wasn't really much; just a scarf that had images of cats that really moved all over it. My aunt owns about eight cats (six of them are inside, one of them belongs to her mother who lives with them). I don't see how my Uncle Bill stands it to tell you the truth, I guess he sleeps with them or something. My Uncle Bill has a strange fascination with muggle airplanes which are huge metal contraptions muggles use to get around in the air in.
I saw Professor Dumbledore talking to Professor Snape this evening on my way to dinner. I didn't quite catch what was said and did not wish to question it, although I could just see the end of a newly formed scar on Snapes left hand. I merely muttered my usual "evening Professors," and went on my way up to the Common Room because I was not hungry for some reason. I didn't say anything to anyone as usual and jsut headed straight to my dorm room.

Dear Diary,
The castle's atmosphere is strained. Even the Great Hall's ceiling was cloudy with a hint of rain. Hagrid came in from the outside followed by a great hust of wind, the look on his face was of of someone who had just experienced a great fright. He carried a large bundle in his arms. I watched as Dumbledore rose from his seat along with Mcgonagall and Snape.
"Found her lying on the ground pr'fessors. She ain't movin' at all."
I found later in the day that it was Johnetta's body that Hagrid had been carrying in. There was a huge bite mark on her rib cage that I recognized immediatly Werewolf. Whether she'll survive I'm not sure. One can only hope can't they? Professor Lupin and myself will be there to help her control the changes. I'll have to discontinue this for now, the patient stirs.
