CHAPTER FIVE
October 28
Dear Diary,
I went for an evening strool around the castle grounds last night. The night was perfectly clear and the giant squid was asleep drifting lazily near the surface of the lake. It lifted one sleepy eye at me before blowing a few bubbles and going back to sleep. The air was crisp and cold and I was by myself. I loved it, I always like to go on really long walks because it helps clear my head, especially when I am thinking deep thoughs which has been happening a lot lately. The reason being is because the day after I last wrote to you I followed through and signed up for the Order. I have decided to push myself so I will be able to meet the requirements to get into the Auror's academy. Professor Dumbledore says I am going to need as much experience I can can get. I remain forever hopeful.

October 31
Dear Diary,
This year's Halloween was a little different because instead of tables we all ate around campfires and told scary stories. The food was what my mother would call "stick to your ribs" good and by tht time I was done I had a stomach ache (still do). Tomorrow is a Hogsmeade weekend and I was hoping to get a sip of butterbeer at The Three Broomsticks before doing any shopping. Then I was going to and pick up a new quill and ink bottle. When I get back my owl Reinhardt will be busy because I have some letters to send. I hear footsteps onthe stairs so I will close this until a later time.

November 8
Dear Diary,
I managed to attend a quidditch match this afternoon. Hufflepuff vs. Slytherin It ended up being a tie game because some how Malfoy and the Hufflepuff seeker managed to catch the Snitch at the same time leaving both with bloody noses. Mcgonagall said that this has never happened before and as a result, a grudge match will occur tomorrow which I will tell you about in due time (I could never leave you out Diary).
Dumbledore invited the Aurors Kingsley Shacklebolt and Nymphadora Tonks ("call me Tonks" she said) to come and speak to the older D.A members and of course to sign up more of those who are willing to join the Order. A long line of young witches and wizards signed the parchment. You shold have seen them Diary! I know we wont get to do much now, but what about after? If Voldemort is not defeated by graduation we will have a huge mess on our hands and even then...
I remain worried, for them and for myself.
