Just procrastinating
I've been listening to Tarja Turunen's new single, Enough, and I think it's a good thing that she and Nightwish had a falling out. She's a great singer, but in Nightwish, she tended to sound the same in most songs. Now that she's gone solo her vocals are more dynamic.
Speaking of Nightwish, I want new album NOW! Especially because this album will have song that should be written to suit Anette's voice. Dark Passion Play was written before the new vocalist was picked, so now that Tuomas has had a few years to hear Anette's range and vocal style, hopefully the songs will be even better. And as much as I love the symphonic route they're going down, Emppu is a fantastic guitarist and in the last few albums I feel like he just isn't being showcased like he should (to be fair though, he did write one song in DPP). I would really like it if Tuomas would put the orchestra in the background and really allow the guitars to be prominent.
