The Tenth Apland: Keepers of the Cinder-Rose Chapter 16
Welcome back to The Tenth Apland: Keepers of the Cinder Rose. After a full weekend of working (I never knew the amount of time and energy required to get the pool up and running) I finally have time to update my legacy, yay!
Last time... Dusty gave birth to a little girl, Denver, who to both the parents' dismay turned out to be good. Then Alden and Rusty went for a romp in a haystack and conceived their second child, Ellasyn. I also introduced the 'To "Do-me here…" List'. Denver and Ellasyn both aged into toddlers and were totes adorbs. And that's about it, now for chapter 16!
Alden was at home, playing babysitter because Rusty had a gig. Of course, Alden didn't mind spending time with his girls.
Alden: "Who's Daddy's little girl?"
Denver: "Ella is! Ella is!"
Alden: "No, silly!"
Alden: "You're both Daddy's girls. And right now you're mine" *kisses head*
They are both just so adorable, I can't get over it!
Meanwhile… Rusty was performing at her first ever gig.
Rusty: "I clearly didn't think this one through… this hurts!"
Rusty: "Ta da!" (Okay let's get started…)
Rusty: "...So I was giving my daughter, Ellasyn a bath while talking on the phone to my sister-in-law, when I saw her make this scrunched up constipated face. I ran over to her yelling "No!" and stuck my hand out just in time to catch her… little present…"
Rusty: "...I started screaming obscenities, mainly 'shit's. My sister-in-law, who was still on the other line, was utterly confused at what was going on, she figured someone had broken something or killed themselves, so I had to explain to her what happened."
Rusty: "Alright, are you ready to see some magic tricks?!"
There were only four people in the audience, including the proprietor.
Back on the home front, Alden was trying new tactics to turn Denver Evil.
Alden: "Daddy's not going to change your diapy until you say… 'I'm going to take over the world and force everyone to wear diapers over their pants!'"
Denver: "No."
Alden: "So you're gonna sit in your messy diaper for the rest of your life?"
Denver: "No."
Denver started to cry again as Alden continued to attempt at convincing her to say it.
Alden: "Come on Envy, all you have to do is say it. It's that simple, and then I'll changer your diaper."
Denver: "Fine."
Alden: "Go on, say it for Daddy!"
Denver: "Imma take ova da wold and… ask peopul nicely to whare diapeys on der pants."
Alden: "Fine… close enough."
Denver: "Ha! I was cwossing my fingus."
Back at the park, things weren't going so well.
But the audience didn't seem to notice, or mind.
Rusty did get her final trick to work.
Rusty: "Come on, let me hear it, let me hear the applause."
Rusty: "Not enough… I can't hear you!"
And somehow, even though she only successfully completed one trick, the show went well.
Denver is certainly living up to her genius trait. She just breezes through book after book.
Ellasyn: "I know where dis one goes!"
Ellasyn: "It's spose ta go here."
Ellasyn: "Stupid bwock! It won't wook!"
Ella, on the other hand, was staying more true to her grumpy trait.
Alden and Rusty took a trip down to the theater to cross another item off their "To 'Do-me-here…' List".
Rusty: "If we got caught, if this ends up in the tabloids… it's all your fault! You just wouldn't stop crying out!"
Alden: "Well can you blame me? That was some hot…"
Rusty: "You're right, I just rock."
Alden: "Just shut up, and come over here."

So, I have a bit of a confession to make. I was getting fed up with story progression not having Bernadette and Caprice move on with their lives. More specifically, Noel wanted five grandchildren, and there was no way that Rusty was going to have them all… and Berney and Capri weren't pulling their weight. So I turned off aging and went and got them both married. I forgot (and didn't think it would make a difference) to turn off story progression. I should have known when I went and found both of them already in relationships that story progression was indeed working…
So I came back to the family and found that Noel had retired from her job (she was level 9 and one promotion away from completing her LTW) and Morgan had gotten a job as a stylist and got promoted all the way to level 8.

And I found this… Denver had decided to age up on her own (even though she had two days left (read two days of skilling left). Plus she glitched out on me.
Well this definitely saves from disappointment, as far as looks go.
I'm still mad however that she grew up early.
Here she is, all made over. She rolled clumsy as her third trait.
Bernadette's room also got a makeover so that Denver has a bedroom of her own.
The decorations are part of Alden and Rusty's latest Evil Conversion plan. Children are so impressionable when they are asleep.
A mother greedily rubbing her hands together; An innocent child just sitting there unsuspecting…. That could only mean one thing.
Rusty: "It's like stealing candy from a baby… literally!"
Rusty: "Oh quite your crying, child. I bought that lollipop, so I can steal it from you if I damn well want to."
Alden came to Ellasyn's rescue, however. He got her mind of the stolen candy by teaching her how to walk.
Meanwhile, Denver was playing dominos with her Granddaddy.
Denver: "Make your move already, Grandpa."
For some reason, my sims like to take the kids out to the barn to feed them. It's not every time, but it happens often enough that it's irritating. I guess they just don't want the kids making a mess, or something.
My little genius of a Denver is conducting science experiments.
Denver: "Someone's got to find a cure for evil sims. I can't believe Mom actually stole candy from her own child. If Ellasyn's not safe, no one is…"
Oops.
Denver: "Well that didn't go as I planned."
Noel was invited to a party of Caprice's. She found both of her daughters in the bathroom. They had both been discussing how they both suspected that they were pregnant.
Noel: "You'll want to make sure you're taking your prenatal vitamins. I don't want any grandbabies with only one arm."
Obligatory, first day of school picture.
Little Ella is taking after her big sister. Now that she's learned all her skills, she's taken to reading books. Such smart little children Rusty and Alden have.
Apparently Ella's my favorite. She's the first child in either generation that I've taken an interest in beyond changing diapers and feeding.
Morgan: "Oh no, Ella. Oh no! It's the claw!"
Ellasyn: "Run, you fool."
Ellasyn: *squirms* "Stop it… stop it, that tickles!"
Rusty had another magic show. Despite getting more tricks right, she didn't do so well… but maybe being two hours late to the gig will do that….
But she got promoted to level 3 anyway.
Rusty waited up for Alden to get home from work at 3 am.
Alden: "You're still up?"
Rusty: "I have a surprise for you. Follow me…"
She had a surprise for him alright.
Alden: "That. Was. Awesome."
Rusty: "For that one, you're gonna have to pay. But don't worry, this won't hurt a bit."
Rusty: "Steady now…"
Alden: "OUCH!!! Shit! Ouch, ouch ouch! Get this f*****g sword out of me!"
Rusty: "Oh god. He's going to kill me."
Rusty: "Tada… "
Alden: "Rusty, Imma kill you."
Alden: *in mocking voice* "sure… 'it won't hurt a bit!' That's the last time I listen to you."
Rusty: "Would it be too much to ask for a second try? I'd owe you big time…"
Alden relented (he couldn't pass up the opportunity of woohoo)… And luckily the stunt went right this time.
Rusty: "I am magnificent!"
Rusty: "Ta DA!!"
Alden: "I'm alive. I'm alive."
I thought I'd throw in the status of Rusty and Alden's little to-do list. There almost halfway done.
