Adventures

Went downtown to the model train expo at the fairgrounds and the home and garden show at the convention center. The train expo was way more interesting overall, except for the service-dog-in-training (young and amazingly well-behaved chocolate Lab) being socialized at one booth and the real live sugar gliders being "demonstrated" at another. (I think it was approximately $400 for a cage and kit; don't know if you got a voucher for a glider or what.) We got to see one jump from a crowd member to the handler and then burrow into his pocket.

Then, after stopping at Menards for some things, we tried to get directions to the nearby Super Target (not that we don't know how to get there). First of all you can only work with the nav system while the car isn't moving, which means typing fast at stoplights. Second of all we eventually discovered the car apparently thought we were in a different part of the country--something must have reset when the car's electrics were disconnected during its body work. At one point it told us "There are no cities located within 20 miles." Riiiiiight.

We also learned that if you walk off with both keys the vehicle will beep but will let you drive it... it just won't restart if you turn it off, and it won't let you lock it with the outside button.

Burgers and salads for dinner.
