Prius pluses and minuses
Plus: Smartkey entry system. Best feature ever, and now I want one for my house. You don't even have to push buttons on the remote; just walk up to the car with the fob in your pocket, touch the sensor on the rear gate or front doors, and it opens. Lock it again by pushing one of the buttons in the same locations. No need to wrestle your keys out from under a sweatshirt and winter coat.
Minus: The buttons on the steering wheel are insufficiently lit. The console lights are as bright as they go, but the steering wheel buttons are very dim. It takes my eyes several seconds to adjust from brightly lit, fairly distant console display and nighttime highway to small, close up, poorly lit buttons.
Or maybe I'm just old.
I'm also not real crazy about the digital speed display; it doesn't give the same kind of feedback that the dial speedometer did. The first couple of days I couldn't translate digital numbers indicating speed to the needle's position on the dial.
