Eh...

..... just got done taking a weed whacker to the backyard. Some of those suckers were BIG. I think Tom mistook one pair of especially ambitious weeds for cultivated plants and left them when he so graciously was putzing in my backyard the day I had to spend several hours studying while he was here. (No OTHER reason I can think of that they'd have gotten SO much bigger than the rest of the unwanted lot.....) But anyway, they're all whacked now and I can see the fence again from my family room windows .....

Okay so they're whacked and down. Going to let them lie for a day or so and then rake up the (hopefully) withered remnants. Of course, I don't know where my rake is at the moment... so it might take actually going out and BUYING one..... (I thought I had one, but may be misremembering from a different house).

Oh well, I need need cushions for the deck chairs and some more Oxy-Gen and Little Green for my Spotbot. My two cats do not have nearly as much "digestive upset" as Tootie did (especially the last few months) but there are a couple of barf spots that need to be cleaned... and I'm out of Little Green. The Spotbot DOES work very well on "pet stains".... if I use the Oxy-Gen. I like that better than using the formula designed for pet stains. Go figure. Anyway it will likely mean a trip to Home Depot or Lowes in the next couple days. Oh and I need to look at kitchen faucets, too. The one I have is dripping and while I could get it repaired, I really, really would like to have a sprayer in the kitchen sink (miss that from previous kitchens). So while I'm not at the "kitchen redo" stage... or even my planned "partial re-do" (which I can hopefully do next year), I think getting a good single handle faucet now, getting it installed and making sure I"m planning for the "partial" is probably my best bet. And ecologically sound, too. :)

Ah, that's the great thing about owning a house... no matter WHERE you sit... you're looking at something that needs to be done......
