So, another LitToS chapter. I’m apparently crap at the speedy update thing, but I swear I’m trying. I think speedy thoughts. My typing fingers just don’t always listen. But yeah, here it is. And there is very serious business MerDer conversation inside, so hopefully that’s a good thing.

yay. I am like a crackhead with this one. obsessively checking for updates. interfering with my life. but I love it. hurry with the reconciliation, I feel better when my favorite couple are happy. (naked isnt bad either, but at least happy together)

I've been longing to write a scene where Derek finally, finally gets to tell Meredith what it was like when she drowned, so that was so much fun for me. Because I don't think Mer understood at all. Any time she discusses her drowning it's all about how she feels different and it changed her, like she has these blinders on about what she did to Derek. The guy was devastated. He was on the ground in tears, breaking my heart. So yeah, I think it's something she needs to know

oof. this chapter kinda takes your breath away. though painful, your portrayal of the much anticipated Talk is the only realistic way I imagine this scene being enacted. Meredith will Never-Ever admit to letting go in the water unless backed into a corner with the words basically dragged out of her. And that of course will lead to Shouty!Derek. This conversation would never have been a simple one, one in which Meredith admits her secret pain and Derek comforts her and the whole exchange of FEELINGS is done tidily with pleanty of tears and "I Love You's" and the whole thing is fixed/wrapped up nice and pretty. Meredith and Derek's relationship is messy and painful and things like not-so-accidental-drownings, suicidal-mother's, and self-destructive tendencies are not issues that can be solved in one majorly sappy conversation. Plus, Meredith doesn't willingly talk about such topics and she doesn't like to be seen as vulnerable. It's an effort to simply verbalize her feelings let alone all the twisty thoughts inside her head. I don't

I'm glad you found the super serious business drowning Talk realistic. I just wasn't able to imagine it happening in a calm, let's discuss this sort of way because, well, like you said, Meredith will not willing admit to giving up in the water. She got incredibly upset with Wyatt for suggesting it, and that was an objective third party she wasn't intimately involved with. I think it's got to hurt a lot more to hear it from Derek, and that the only way he'd ever get her to own up to it was by being very in her face about the whole thing and essentially taking away all her excuses

just got around to watching The Office's super bowl episode. it was. hysterical. the way angela just whips out that drawer and there's a cat laying there and then the way she tosses it up into the ceiling only to have it come crashing back down feet away....i watched that scene WAY too many times. CRACK ME UP. and then dwight, when he cuts off the cpr dummy's face (small consolation: at least now he knows not to do it to a real person) and stands there against the wall like a COMPLETE creeper....oh god. I saw Silence of the Lambs WAY too young. That movie majorly creeped me out. Anyway, and then Dwight’s single sentence apology: “I state my regret.”

Anyway, I have another quick question. I’m getting confused, is the crossover only during this Thursday? Or is it also next week? Because I feel like 4 episodes is a lot…BUT with all the info I keep hearing about this Thursday’s episode I’m wondering how they’re gonna cram it all into 2…

Wasn't it such a fantastic eppy? Angela and her cat had to be my favorite moment. All I have to do is think about it and I start laughing again. And yeah, Dwight. DWIGHT!!!! Loved him so much. His statement of regret was absolute perfection, and yeah, he was a total creeper with that cpr dummy face on him like a mask.

I'm pretty confused about the crossover stuff too. The way I think it is (I could be wrong) is that tomorrow is basically a regular Grey's episode, but then it includes the call from Addison at the end. And then the PrP episode takes you through what happened before Addison made the call. And then NEXT week is the big crazy crossover stuff. But I could easily be wrong because IT IS ALL SO CONFUSING!!!!!! AHHHHH. However, Mer talking about babies. I am happy! :D :D :D I'm betting she turns up preggers by the end of this season.
