So, another LitToS chapter. I’m apparently crap at the speedy update thing, but I swear I’m trying. I think speedy thoughts. My typing fingers just don’t always listen. But yeah, here it is. And there is very serious business MerDer conversation inside, so hopefully that’s a good thing.

Also, in unrelated news. The Office just about killed me

Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed the chapter even though it was another sad/angsty one.

I've been longing to write a scene where Derek finally, finally gets to tell Meredith what it was like when she drowned, so that was so much fun for me. Because I don't think Mer understood at all. Any time she discusses her drowning it's all about how she feels different and it changed her, like she has these blinders on about what she did to Derek. The guy was devastated. He was on the ground in tears, breaking my heart. So yeah, I think it's something she needs to know.

And I'm so glad you liked the scene with Olivia! I'm so used to just writing with established Grey's characters, so it's weird to play around with someone new! But yeah, Meredith desperately needed to get some perspective on the fight with Derek, and I don't think talking about it with her friends would've been enough. They tend to automatically take her side, which makes since as her friends, but doesn't help so much with the whole perspective thing.
