The team at work (Gods know I would go crazier than I already am if it were not for them), bought a cake for me, and believe me, it was quite unexpected. As they say in this neck of the woods "God love them all". It was truly a very sweet gesture.
A week earlier, we went out as an early birthday celebration to dinner at a Thai restaurant, and an evening with Bowser and Blue

My hours are such that if it were not for the telephone, Dan and I would never "see" each other. This is especially so now that I don't get off work until 11:30. When I got home, on the night of my birthday, I found that Dan had laid out a snack for me, because I am frequently starving at that time. He made a stop at the grocery store, and got me some smoked salmon and a wee greek salad. It was just one of those "out of the blue" thoughtful things he does. I am so very fortunate that he is in my life.
