Further News - Better
The good news is that Dan's embolism was a small one and he will have no lasting effects. The heparin IV has been discontinued and the warfarin is being reduced. Opinions differ as to when he will be released - one dr feels that Dan can go home to continue his recovery, and the other wants to keep him in until next week. They will get together to come to some consensus and we will be the last to know. In the meantime, I am keeping Dan in clean underwear and socks.
Dan's dinner tonight was some sort of macaroni and cheese with ground beeflike substance. I think it was some form of hamburger helper. But, to his credit, Dan ate 1/2 of it, all of the little salad they sent him as well as the strawberries for dessert.
His colour is better, and he looks much better than he did a week ago.
I am tired.
