*resurfaces again*
I do like having time off work... I really REALLY do.
There have been games and singing and piano playing and lots of food and family and extended family and alcohol and TV and Champion the Wonder Horse (!)
And I have been listening to som of my Christmas CDs and all is still pretty much shiny *g*

And while I'm doing thank yous can I aslo say thanks to ciorstaidh for the bookmark and beautiful notebook, katie__pillar and chaletian for the wonderful theatre book and chocolates , teaandbooks for the yummy Cote d'Or, klo_the_hobbit for the book and notelets and (with Becca) the Silver Fin Graphic Novel (and can I please know the story now?), seiyaharris for Marguerite (which Dad has banned me from playing where he can hear but I don't care because it's wonderful <3), dozydormouse for the beautiful poster and the book journal which will come in VERY useful, beren_writes and thwax and Rob for the Hello Kitty sweets and for Harry a History which I have't started yet but will review when I have *g*, b_liz for the pretty notecards and pencil and (finally) to helenmia for the paper and envelopes.
Most of my family presents were composed of books, CDs, Lush things and chocolate. As it should be. I did get The Road Goes Ever On which is settings of some of Tolkein's words by Donald Swann which I've been wanting since I saw a gorgeous (and totally out of my price range) first edition but this copy is lovely and new so I can use it and I'm looking forward to getting a play.
We've just been watching Outnumbered and marvelling, yet again, at quite how familiar it all is :-S
Now I think a handful more Yuletide stories (now I have been reviewed by my intended recipient and am feeling much more relaxed about the whole thing :P) and then more being sociable *g*
