Women would get the legal right to breastfeed in public, under a new law being proposed by the government. I thought that would be over interest to a fair number of you, especially after NippleGate last year.
It's a fascinating proposal actually, they're trying to bring together a lot of the current discrimination laws in one place, the "Single Equality Bill".
Of course reading that article it still contains some rather priceless contradicitons and impossible-to-enforce details. My personal favourite being:
Private clubs such as golf clubs and working men's clubs would also be forced to give women equal rights under the Green Paper

Ministers will make clear, however, that they do not intend to stop people setting up clubs exclusively for one gender or social group.
Which is a nice thought but, well, I wonder where you draw the line between a club set up for one gender and a club that has to allow everyone in!
