(no subject)
Last day of work before Christmas \o/ I mean I'm back in again on Monday but as we're closed all across the Christmas period that feels different *g* There is glitter everywhere from the jigsaw puzzle wreaths we're making- this was my effort yesterday (you have to make the kids feel that they can do it better right?)

23. The best present Does this mean the best present that would work for everyone or quite specific? Either way the best present I was ever given (and I'm pretty certain I've told this story on here before) was indeed a book, in fact it was twelve books *g* For my 21st birthday my friends from the unviersity chaplaincy banded together and bought me all twelve volumes of The History of Middle-earth and then they each wrote a message in the books so that all the books have notes in the front and back ♥ They gave them to me at a restaurant and I very nearly cried.
Sadly I haven't actually finished reading them all a decade later /o\ I got jammed in volume 8 (The War of the Ring) because I'm afraid I found the LOTR volumes less fascinating that the earlier volumes because he FINISHED LOTR so these are things he decided against not other possible futures or notes that people have used to try and work the story out from. I will finish one day, not least because there's a lot of Silmarillion adjacent stuff to come and I do love the elves.
