I'm afraid this is going to be one of those random brain-dump posts. I'm just going to leave it open this morning and post because I keep thinking of things to say and then NOT. This means that today I will think of nothing interesting obviously but I wanted to try it anyway. And maybe writing them down will stop them distracting me from work?
  • When you're having an attack of the fan crazies (you know- when a theory takes up residence in your brain about a thing in a show or about a ship or about where a book is going and just WON'T LEAVE and goes round and round in your head gathering evidence that may or may not be real/logical) is it better if that's something you keep to yourself (danger- echo chamber can make it an actually crazy thing, benefit- nobody else knows of the crazy) or something you talk about to other people (benefit- they remind you not to be crazy/can prove it's actually true, danger- they also catch the crazies and you can never break free).

I'm asking for a friend you understand. Such things never happen to me *coughs*

  • This week on YouTube I am somewhat alarmed by how accurate this danisnotonfire video is to my life: Ironic Appreciation

  • Watching Glee with Mum is becoming a bit like some sort of alarming pop culture quiz for me- the Guilty Pleasures week I don't think she recognised a single song and trying to explain Chris Brown & Rhianna was... interesting. Other topics discussed recently include Catfishing (yes it really is a thing) and Matthew Morrison's friendship with JC Chasez.

  • Today I am trying very hard not to look at the Donmar Warehouse's @ stream because it will just make me twitchy as all their Friends book Coriolanus tickets *sighs* I think maybe I need to just give up and try and get on the waiting list to join because it is one of the places I go a fair bit.

  • The Rainbows made me a surprise birthday card yesterday, they're not brilliant at secrets or surprises though so literally the first one through the door went and signed it (I'm not blind, I knew anyway) and then came straight up to me and said "it's your birthday!" ♥

  • Welcome to Sanditon has at least got a bit interesting in the most recent episode? IDK I'm still a little underwhelmed by the whole thing but then I've never actually read what there is of Sanditon so maybe I'm underestimating how much already knowing Pride & Prejudice affected my love for the Lizzie Bennet Diaries? I'm also still feeling vaguely uncomfortable that not participating in all their ridiculous role play "be a resident" stuff I might be missing out/missing the point but I just don't have time :-/

I am however HUGELY excited that they're getting to the stage with DVDs etc. for LBD that they've asked for shipping addresses <3

  • 20 Years in the Life of Stephen Sondheim so that link is to a thing ATG have put together showing what Sondheim was up to in the 20 years covered by Merrily We Roll Along AND it links to each relevant song (will I ever be able to listen to Our Time without welling up? Signs point to NEVER)

ps. Go and see Merrily We Roll Along! Top price seats £29.45 + no fees (was £59.50) *Mon-Sat til 29th June
Okay that actually sort of did work, I've managed to draft one of the two "chapters" (we're talking a page or so)I need to write by next Friday \o/

Whether any of it is of interest to any of you is another matter altogether :-P

(so I need a tag for LBD/Sanditon/Jane Eyre and any future vlog based book adaptations that I can go abck and tag things and use in the future but IDK what to call them!)

sondheim, guiding, musicals, rainbows, theatre, fandom, youtube, glee
