(no subject)
So I had another of my "you have to take some leave now because you're not going to be able to take a lot once your boss has left" leave days today. Had tea with a friend this morning and then managed to buy LOTS of Christmas cards AND the first of my Christmas presents.
(I vaguely hate myself for doing that, I'm having SUCH a Grinch year for Christmas coming too early and am spectacularly unimpressed that we have the tree up at work a whole week earlier than we need it)
Mind you it is Advent in only 4 days so it's not VERY early any more *g*
We have a shiny new "super hub" at home connecting us to the internet and rather miraculously it seems to be playing nicely with all the computers, wired AND wireless, including Dad's new laptop which was sulking with our old hub/router combo. I did have visions of our internet vanishing entirely and was therefore glad I'd seen my yuletide assignment yesterday.
(I looked at it and thought OH I'd love to read a fic like that and then remembered I was supposed to be writing it and PANICKED but I now have 3 different bunnies and I'm sort of poking them to see which is actually possible I feel a re-(method by which this medium would be consumed) coming on *g*)
In other news I might accidentally be falling into a new fandom... a sort of new fandom... I'm not planning on really being IN it but, well, yes. And in totally unrelated news (or completely related, one or the other) I can now name all the One Direction boys *hides head in hands*
