(no subject)
So ahead of Doctor Who returning I figured why not watch this week's Torchwood... it's kind of unsurprising but apparently my enjoyment of Torchwood? Correlates quite highly with the amount of Captain Jack Harkness in any given episode!
Torchwood:Miracle Day 7- Immortal Sins
Oh Angelo... I don't want him to be a bad guy because he was kind of awesome <3 conflicted but brave and put up with a hell of a lot from Jack and clearly cared for him and OH JACK you ought to know what happens to the people who get left behind by their miraculous man who can show you the whole universe after all wasn't that EXACTLY what happened with you and the Doctor?!
*sighs*
Mind you maybe Angelo is still a good guy- knowing what caused it and causing it aren't the same thing at all!
But I loved seeing Jack being Torchwood on his own and I loved the conversation between him and Gwen in the car- nice to have the recognition that they can love each other and yet still have limits (Gwen's being her family and Jack's being life itself....)
Esther? Wins ALL THE POINTS for noticing something was up with Gwen and checking the right place and then Rex & her (and PC Andy *g*) saving the day ♥
(Mind you Rex is right about they're constant obsession with doing stuff alone... which is the lesson about not leaving Angelo behind too I guess)
ps. I adored the little "that's blasphemy" "that's Christianity" thing... oh please don't let Angelo be a bad guy *crosses everything*
My aunt is visiting this week, I was rather afraid I wouldn't even get my Doctor Who time let alone catch up on Torchwood but it turns out, having never watched the show before, she's kind of hooked on Torchwood and one of the first things she asked after arriving was whether I'd recorded it *g*
