I KNEW there was a Lady Heather episode coming and I COMPLETELY forgot so I was so surprised when the name appeared on the door *g*
I think Heather came out of it rather well. I think Sara and Ray came out less well. And yes- more Grissom except that the dynamic would be WAY different now Sara and him are actually married,
You've got a point abotu the different dynamic. The whole Grissom/Sara thing never worked for me at all, so I suppose it's a good thing there was no Grissom here. Still, I loved those two together so much.
Oh I am SO with you on Grissom/Sara- it's a worrying sign when the chemistry works better when they're on different continents... and I'd LOVE a new episode with Heather and Grissom.
Has to be said though that this is still a better episode than her last one.
It's weird, I mean it can't just be Grissom not being there, it has to be a change in writers/directors/producers or similar but CSI was so good in the early days at dealing with fetish stuff and it's got SO bad.
It is generally more judgey without Grissom because he was the guy going IT'S ALL GOOD, BABY! (...I'm so, so sorry about that, let's move on).
Nick has a weakness for pretty things who (he thinks) need saving. I do so love his face. The whole storyline line was like WHAAAAAAAAAAAT? And he called her "our girl" to Doc and it was ADORABLE.
I'm not allowed to talk about the Ray & Haskell storyline. Or Ray, tbh, but I very much liked how he ignored Sara's AWFUL FUCKING BEHAVIOUR (JUST WHEN I WAS LIKING YOU, SARA) and respected Heather. She's just so much classier than like, ANY of them.

See I was totally ready Inception fic in which Eames and Arthur ended up with a baby and then there was Nick and Doc Robbins and "our girl" and it was VERY confusing.
'K I understand that given what must be coming *nods* I was glad he got the value of Heather in the end but he was being just as awful as Sara at first. But generally ALL that good work Sara did getting me to like her? *scowls*
(OMG I HAD FORGOTTEN ABOUT THAT ugh I mean, okay, fine, I deserved it but OH MAN)
lolz see that makes it vee confusing and slightly hilarious! I wish Greg had been around AT ALL when the baby was there. Sigh (OH GOD for no reason I remembered Greg in the Bieber ep all DON'T YOU EVEN THINK ABOUT IT in his really commanding voice (rather than a voice that is shrill or scared or whatever)
WE shall talk after the end of the season and I've had some time to think about how I feel lol It's a real shame I had to hate Sara again for that 42 minutes. I liked her again after that but yeah, that was Not Awesome (and not just her with Heather but her through the whole thing. Sigh)
(it's not like I was a winner either given I'm thinking about it to...)
OH if Greg had been in this episode I might have DIED <3 the Bieber episode was awesome if only for that one line <333
That's good to know about Sara I guess but yeah :-/ but she and Ray did seem to spend the whole episode judging Heather and then judging the idea of sexual therapy and then judging the women who wanted to be pets and just judging EVERYTHING and then got to be all superior over the accidental killer.

But yes, all the baby stuff was cute. Men around tiny babies almost always cause cuteness in TV shows.

And yeah, I was worried too about where the story would go, but happily they decided to respect Heather after all.
So, what do you think - needs more Grissom? Heather without Grissom is still fantastic, but there's so much missing. *sighs*
