(no subject)

Hello LJ, gosh this week seemed to last a very long time. I mean it got kind of win in the middle (Tuesday and Wednesday evenings) but the rest was kind of... less good.

Anyway. Random thoughts.

• I am currently drining a glass of a rather nice red wine called Chat En Oeuf *g* It has a very pretty label full of somewhat lousy cat puns and comes from next door to where they make Chateauneuf du Pape which is VERY nice.
  
• Outnumbered yesterday was very shiny. Things I particularly loved were Karen's feminism (reacting to "girls can't throw" by pelting her father with fruit? Kind of win <3) and mostly everything with Jake (because the bit at the start where he was worried about his Dad and shouting at Ben was both hilarious (from the little kids) and actually kind of moving (from Jake) and then I always love his conversations with his Mum)
  
• Going to go and see Pirates of Penzance next week :D:D:D
  
• I tried to watch the Debate last night but I just get so frustrated and cross and also severe secondhand embaressment so I watched it whilst flicking madly to other channels (mostly to HIGNFY)
  
• Actually generally last night was good with the TV (see above) culminating in You Have Been Watching because Charlie Brooker is always worth watching and then Robet Webb was on <3 and Charlie gave him points all the time, including for smiling with his eyes (or "smising") in the ANTM bit and also then Rob responded to a story about Charlie overhearing a terribly posh couple having sex with "I've shared rooms with David Mitchell" *g* AND then he let us in on his deep trauma from a childhood coach journey to Spain with a small boy who wanted to play chess but then just made up the rules (and suddenly you could see why he and David might bond)
  
• I am trying quite hard at the moment to read Wolf Hall by Hilary Mantel. I am not convinced it is as good as some of its press :-S Mind you it's also kind of HUGE so I can't stick it in my handbag so it's being kind of slow. I mean so far it's good but a kind of weird style. Also too many Thomases (but that's maybe history's fault).

Also this is totally the birthday weekend. Tomorrow it's my big brother's birthday :D but today it's C's birthday (who I've now known for like 15 years which is kind of scary) and S's birthday (uni friend who I got to see a couple of weeks ago <3) and Shakespeare's birthday (The Globe season starts today officially <3333333) and most importantly of all seiyaharris's birthday (ILU ♥)

Tomorrow I have to be somewhere at 9:30 and I have to walk there and I have to make my lunch beforehand and generally that is NOT what Saturdays are made for *scowls*
