(no subject)
So the choir have just landed at Heathrow HURRAH and other such joyful things :D They're kind of really lucky to have only been delayed a week I guess but I imagine there are a lot of very relieved parents around. My facebook is kind of one great hymn of joy *g*
Anyway.
seiyaharris and I went to see Daniel Boys at Pizza in the Park yesterday evening.
I was expecting to enjoy it obviously because Daniel is sweet and has a nice voice and sings the sort of songs I kind of love but OH ♥ I absolutely wanted to kind of wrap him up and put him in my pocket and take him home forever.
(not that I am that sort of crazy fan *coughs* and boy were there some interesting people there)
He really is spectacularly precious and was slightly nervous and blushed when telling stories about himself and said he was known as Ballad Boys at college <3 and geeked out over Michael Ball knowing who he is and told us about how happy he is when he gets to send his CDs to places like Singapore (and apparently he still sends them all out himself)
And he sang Annie's Song which I LOVE and I Hope You Dance dedicated to his niece/nephew to be who will also be his godchild and he sang Glass Slippers from Soho Cinders which I didn't know at all and kind of loved. Also when it comes to songs I didn't know there was one called, I think, Run Away? or there was Runaway in the title anyway and I kind of hate myself because I'd forgotten the title and who he said it was by already when I got home and it isn't on his album. Maybe it'll come back to me.
ETA Becca is a star <3 Run Away With Me is the song and Michael Arden was who Daniel said he'd heard sing it first and this would appear to be him singing it.
And then he had Jodie Jacobs come sing a song and then they did Just For This Moment from Wicked which was kind of awesome. Her song though was just ♥ Taylor the Latte Boy which again I didn't know but LOVED and was hysterical and made me think of every Barista AU fic ever (I think this is Kristin Chenoweth singing it)
Anyway. Yes. Very enjoyable evening and he's probably doing more dates at Pizza in the Park at some point in June and you should go if you like him or musicals or generally you should go :P
