What I notice...
I meant to write about this sooner, but I didn't...
Ethan has 3 teeth now. I mentioned before that he was getting a third, well, it finally came through. And it seems that the tooth is going to have a partner soon enough. He's been really great about getting those teeth. Just during the evening he gets crankier than I remember him being. That and he can easily get wound up in the evenings. If we get him too excited he gets hyper.
He also LOVES to play peek-a-boo. It's really cute. He also loves to crawl really fast away from me while I come after him saying "Here I come to get you... Here I come, here I come..." And of course it ends with him getting a tickle and he laughs and puts his head down on the floor.
I remember Alex doing that a bit, but not in the way Ethan does. It's the little differences between them. Just mixing up the life and the way we are used too. But it is all good. He's still our sweet little boy. He's got lots of personality. I can't wait to get to know how he is going to be as a bigger kid. (As he grows.)
He's going to be a year old this week. That went by fast huh? It sure seems like it.
More and more I notice that Ethan loves to play with Alex. They spent some time this evening just after dinner playing in Alex's room and they had fun. Alex is being a good big brother too. Oh, and Alex wants a dog now. Daddy has been taking him to a local dog park in the evenings and he LOVES it. A good Daddy and Alex time. He went this evening. And he came back saying he wants a dog now.
Good thing that both Daddy and Mommy are in agreement that we need to wait a little longer until that happens. Whew!
It's gotten really warm here. We still haven't put the A/C on yet. And I'm not even sure if we hit triple digits today. (I didn't catch the news tonight.) I do know that it got up to 84 in the house though. Meh! We just open the windows and hope that cools us off. And usually it does after the sun sets. Slowly. We will turn the A/C on in a week. We've got to get it serviced first. And the appointment is set, we just have to wait it out. Today was supposed to be the hottest day though so, maybe it won't be so bad tomorrow?
