What's up in the brother front?

There is a little bit to catch up on here on the Morgan front. We've been pretty busy for the last week. Actually we haven't been busy, we've been out of town. We took a family trip to Texas to visit Mike's mom for five days. We left Wednesday March 7th, in the evening and stayed until the evening of Monday March 12th.

Before leaving we were pretty busy with doctor's appointments and check ups and various other activities. But once we got out of Arizona we were on vacation and did only what we wanted to while visiting family. It was great to get out of town, but while we left it got pretty warm at home.

We returned to 90 degree weather! And we've all got scratchy throats, runny noses, and a little congestion too. Don't know exactly where that came from but maybe it has more to do with all the blooming going on than we've got some sort of sickness. Alex is running a temperature of 100 this morning. We'll just have to watch this and see what happens.

Before we left Alex was having a bit of a cold/flu. A week before we flew out to Texas we took him to the doctor because he was also having some ear discomfort. After a thorough examination, his left ear looked a little pink and like it was getting the beginnings of an infection. So we got antibiotics from the doctor to give him for a week. At that point he had a terrible cough to go with it. But after a week of the antibiotics, which he finished before we left, the cough and the ear problem seemed to be gone.

So this is something different, I think.

Today he doesn't have preschool, so with the fever I would have kept him home, but it works out really wonderful that he is off already today.

As for me, the last doctor's appointment put me at 30 weeks. I'm measuring right at 30 weeks too, right on the dot. While in Texas, I started having a bit of dizziness which I attributed to the humidity. (When we were at Hawaii a year ago I had some problems with the high humidity making me dizzy too. So even not pregnant I've had humidity and dizziness.) But now that we are home and out of the Texas humidity, I'm still having it. I have no idea what is up!? But I have another doctor's appointment next week, cause I'm down to the every other week check ups. As long as they don't get worse, I think that maybe it is normal for me. I've got no other symptoms. Last night I had some swelling, not extreme, in my legs. Which we, the doctor and I, discussed last appointment, that the heat brings out more than cooler weather. So I guess while we've got 90 degree weather I should put my feet up in the evenings to combat the swellng. Or a bit during the day too since I try to get a lot done and that definitely has an effect on swelling too. And here I was hoping that I wouldn't have problems with swelling. Darn.

Ethan continues to kick up a storm. Kinda tough when you share a body with a baby. At least I know he is there and making his presence known. It amazes me how much a kick from the inside can really tire you out by the late afternoon. In less than two months we'll get a better idea of what kind of a baby he'll be. eheh I think he is a little unhappy about how small his living space is getting. "Sorry there kiddo, it's gonna get a bit MORE crowded in there... we've got another month and a half to go in the weight department... but I guarentee it will go by quick baby!" Then he'll be out and have PLENTY of room to move around.

Lots to do before then and now. I've yet to pull out all the baby cloths, wash them, and set up everything for an infant. Yep, lots to do.
