Gettin' together
We got together at our house around 1 pm. We had hamburgers, hotdogs, and salad...
Everyone brought a little. I meant to do something else like a white elephant gift exchange... but bombed out on it in the end. Bethany flew in from a visit to see her sister that morning anyhow, so it would have been more trouble than what it was worth at that point.
Surprised everyone with the news that we are expecting a boy. Actually Tanya wasn't surprised... she had a gut feeling that when I had my ultrasound that I was just been sneaky and didn't want to say until the family was together a week later. But hey, got to do something to keep things interesting...!
We planned out the rest of the year and talked about our next family reunion that we are thinking about doing in 2008.
We did plan to go play at a indoor mini golf place after that, but we all mutually decided to just skip it. Having lunch and visiting was much more fun! And it was nice to have a more laid back activity. The kids found plenty of things to do and play with here. The baby's were happy too.
In all it was a good turn out. Only my dad was missing since he had to work till 6. By 6 everyone had left so, it really was a fun turn out. A good way to start the year as a family!
