Wow, this month is really coming to a close already. Ack, I've not gotten much on my to do list done either. *grumbles*
So much is going on this weekend and it's about over too.
Friday:
Alex and I met Nanna half way in Phoenix so I could drop him off and he could spent a sleep over with his grandparents for that evening. Mike and I planned to go to a court of honor for some scouts that he was a leader to a few years ago, to see them get their awards, and then we were going to go to a halloween costume party. I was feeling yucky due to the lack of food, Mike got back a little later than expected to have it together, so I missed the court of honor. I stayed home and had dinner. When he got back, we got dressed up and had a wonderful evening at the halloween party. It's been a while since I laughed that much!!
Saturday:
Mike's mom, from texas, flew in for the weekend to visit us. We picked her up and headed down to my parents home, for two reasons. 1. Alex was there and needed picking up, and 2. we had a little family get together planned. We carved pumpkins, had lunch, and visited with my family. It was really nice. Around 3:30 I met up with a dear friend of mine to take pictures of her and her boyfriend. They were going to a formal affair and wanted nice pictures done of themselves for a good rate that she knew she would like! It was great seeing her all dressed up nice and her boyfriend in uniform. I hope they had lots of fun at their dinner!
After that we headed home. We stopped by one of our favorite resteranuts for dinner. And then drove home only to put our costumes back on and attend our church ward's "Trunk or Treat." Alex did NOT want to get his costume on! I had to pin him down and put it on him. For some reason he developed a fear of wearing a costume??! And then afterward I had to show him that he was dressed up as Tigger and that it wasn't anything to be afriad of. After that, he was much happier. Don't ask me what got into him, cause I have no idea what his deal was. Hopefully getting him in that outfit for Halloween will be MUCH easier? Kyle and Bethany also came up for the "Trunk or Treat" because the one their ward is having will be on Tuesday and Kyle will not be able to attend because he starts his next rotation that day and will be working late. It was nice to go trunk or treating with Gage and Alex. They both had lots of fun! And afterward Kyle and Beth hung out a little out our home too.
Today:
Been feeling a bit bushed from this weekends activities. But it is still a wonderful day. The temperature is so enjoyable now. We open our windows every night. Won't be able to do that forever but at least we can enjoy it right now! This next week things will slow down again after Tuesday, I'm looking forward to that. Especially since the holidays can be SOO busy. Every moment of slow is a moment that I enjoy especially since it will pick up soon enough. Pregnancy is going well, I'm starting to show. I believe this week starts the first of the 2nd trimester at 12 weeks. I'm still able to wear all of my regular cloths... but some of my pants are getting tight and uncomfortable because I'm starting to have a bit more belly to cover. So I have been wearing my more loose pants. I can actually say that I'm already looking forward to wearing pregnancy pants already. Guess I've better get out my old ones and start trying them on.
