Monday night at 1630, I had to say good bye to my furmiliar, Simon Magis Templer Leighton developed heart problems and had to be "put to sleep". He was my closest confidant and friend, sometimes it felt like he was all i had left. When I had to give him up it felt like i had to give up a piece of my heart and soul.
Simon was a great cat and little furry person. I will miss his purring, pouncing, and cuddleing. I will miss the "don't you think you should be asleep, mom?" looks, I know he is no longer suffering, but i will be for a while till the little hole in my heart heals up.
I think its harder on Lee because at least i was there to say good bye. Part of me feels that i should have postponed putting him to sleep so lee could have said bye, but he was in so much pain and i didn't want to see him hurting anymore.
At this point I must thank all my friends that jumped to my side and took care of me through this incredible touch time. I love you guys. You are the best family i could ever have.
