i Know how you feel chica. all my guy friends seems to have been crushing on my girlfriends (all 2 of them lol) ALOT lately. And it sucks b/c once I set them up (like i have a choice? what am i supposed to say, nope sorry im ur friend but i wont help u get to know the girl u dig?) it's like they forget about me.
A year and a month ago, Rich told me he liked Joanna. They've been dating ever since and I talk to him MAYBE once a month and that's ONLY when she brings him over to the apartment. We're not even friends anymore. It's like I don't even know him.
Steven and Jes dated a few months back. The minute they spoke, he only called me to get info on her. I told him I didn't like being messenger. A month later, they stopped dating, he stopped hanging out w/ me or calling me. I don't mind it so much b/c i discovered what a jerk he is but still it hurt you know?
Now, I'm in serious fear of losing another friend, Erin (a guy). He likes Jes and they've been hanging out alot lately and will most likely begin dating. I'm really happy for them b/c they are both happy but he has called twice since he began seeing her. One time was to pull a prank on me while she was at his place and the other time was just b/c I haven't talked to him in so long and he wanted to know "what was wrong". I felt like going "you're the one who stopped talking to me you moron" but i dont want to start stuff you know? I just want to move on with life and just chilllllllllll.
good things do happen though, i promise. You just have to be patient and wait for them to happen. I mean, here I am. A 20 year old girl who's friends are 98% made up of guys, and I don't date any of them. I mean, they are my friends, so of course they would have amazing qualities for a boyfriend but I just don't look at them in that way *shrug*. Granted, it irritates me when they ask me for a friend's number and then forget about me, but I guess that's the way it works *shrug*. Someday I'll snap frmo it im sure lol.
But, if you are patient, great things will happen.
Hopefully you will understand why once I post this ( i had to dig through LJ entries to find this sucker lol so i hope it helps you cheer up a little :-D )
P.S. if you haven't noticed, this will be a crazy long comment.
Ok...So on a friday in early February at work I'm at the appointment desk doing nothing as usual becuase...well...no one ever comes to the appointment desk at the writing lab lol....ANYWAYS
So this guy walks up and identifies himself as Jeremy (i think). He needs to have a paper read. So his friend takes a seat next to the appointment desk while I take Jeremy's information down. I see that his phone # is an 813 area code and im like "Hey are you from tampa?" and he's like "Yup" and im like "ME TOO!" (It's always nice to see a fellow Tampa-nian on campus. They are so few. Let alone a Palm Harbor-ian).
So he goes off with one of my co-workers to get his paper read. I lean back in my comfy chair and continue reading my book. Then the following scene occurs.
(For the record....please remember that this is how the room is set up...I am at the computer desk reading a book...the friend is sitting next to the desk I'm at.....Sean and Terese (co-workers) are sitting at 2 computers behind the Friend)
Jeremy's Friend: So....you're from Tampa, eh?
Kathy: *looks up from her book* Umm....yea
Friend: That's cool
Kathy: Are you?
Friend: No, I'm from here.
Kathy: Oh...cool *goes back to reading her book*
*Pause*
Friend: So...why'd you move to Pensacola?
The conversation continues.....I explain why I came to UWF he talks about how he's from the area...we talk about our majors (he's an art major who wants to eventually do photo spreads for magazines....interesting....) Conversation dwindles down and there is a pause....kathy goes back to her book....
