This was inspired by
an icon I saw recently. I had that picture of them hugging and this grew organically from that. A tad more overt than
An accidental moment perhaps.
But, here it is.

He wraps his arms around her as her arms go around his neck.
“Do not go,” he whispers into her hair.
Her arms tighten. “Liliandil,” she murmurs.
Her body crushed against his, she buries her forehead in his shoulder before, aware of Aslan and Edmund, she steps away from Caspian and toward the great Lion. Darker than before, his eyes follow her movements when she walks away. She looks over her shoulder when she is about to step through.
He grabs her hand, pulling her to him and, unrestrained and passionate, he presses his lips to hers. She cannot help how her body leans into his, how her arm slides around him.
“Liliandil,” she breathes against his lips when they’re both standing alone before the wave and Aslan.
When she walks away this time, he holds her hand, his arm outstretched with each step away from him, until her fingers slide from his and she is gone.
