He shouldn't have dialled that number. He hadn't expected the phone number to work, never mind answered!
He holds the piece of paper between both paws and he looks very, very hard at the phone number on it. The phone number had worked. Which meant that the person who had answered should be able to help him.
The North Pole was so very obvious and Santa hadn't been in the suitcase which meant this phone number had been his Last Chance To Find Santa. And he felt he had to find Santa. Why?
Why did reindeer fly or nifflers find shiny objects?
Because they had to and he had to find Santa. He just had to!
So he raises the piece of paper again and takes a deep breath. If the owner of this phone number could help, then he, Pudsey, would dial the phone number!
He lifts the telephone in his paw. A gust of wind blows papers and dust from their corners. Groaning and wheezing fill the room. Blue lights and paint appear.
“Did anyone here call a doctor?”
