Emma hands him a mug. “Here,” she says. “Try it.”
Mister Gold studies the mug suspiciously. “Hot chocolate?”
“You should add some of this,” she says, handing over a small jar.
“And it is?”
“Cinnamon,” Emma answers before sipping from her own mug. “Sprinkle some, or stir some in. It's delicious.”
“Why?”
Emma lowers her mug, and her voice. “Because your grandson likes it,” she tells him. “I'm giving you a way to connect with him.” She looks around them; Mary Margaret is leaning into David while chatting with Belle; Neal is chatting to Henry. “Or do you have something else in mind?”
Mister Gold sighs. He looks at the small jar in his hand. “Which do you suggest?”
“Sprinkle it on first,” Emma suggests. “Then go from there.”
